PATCHSIGNAL PRIVACY POLICY

PatchSignal is a Discord application operated by Black Latch Studios LLC (“Black Latch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information PatchSignal processes, why it is processed, and how it is handled.

01 INFORMATION PATCHSIGNAL PROCESSES

Depending on how a Discord server configures PatchSignal, we may process:

  • Discord server IDs
  • Discord channel IDs
  • Discord user IDs associated with submitted feedback
  • Message IDs
  • Message content posted in channels specifically selected for PatchSignal monitoring
  • Message timestamps
  • Game build/version information configured by server administrators
  • AI-generated classifications, summaries, sentiment, severity, and issue-grouping information
  • PatchSignal configuration and usage information
  • Technical logs needed for reliability, security, debugging, and service operation

PatchSignal does not intentionally monitor Discord channels that have not been selected by an authorized server administrator.

02 HOW INFORMATION IS USED

Information is processed to:

  • collect player feedback
  • associate feedback with game builds
  • identify bugs, requests, UX issues, and balance concerns
  • detect related or duplicate reports
  • generate summaries and sentiment analysis
  • compare feedback between releases
  • provide reports to authorized users
  • maintain service security and reliability
  • enforce usage limits and subscription features
  • improve PatchSignal

03 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE PROCESSING

PatchSignal may send relevant feedback text to OpenAI services for automated classification, summarization, duplicate verification, and related analysis.

We seek to minimize information sent for AI processing. PatchSignal does not need to send Discord usernames or unnecessary Discord identifiers to the AI model for ordinary feedback analysis.

Automated analysis may be imperfect and should be reviewed by developers when making important decisions.

04 DATA STORAGE

PatchSignal currently uses Supabase and related infrastructure to store application configuration, collected feedback, build metadata, and analysis results.

Other infrastructure providers may be used as PatchSignal evolves.

05 THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

PatchSignal interacts with third-party services including:

  • Discord
  • OpenAI
  • Supabase
  • hosting and infrastructure providers

These providers process information according to their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

06 DATA RETENTION

Information is retained only as reasonably necessary to operate PatchSignal, provide requested functionality, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate development and business purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and service configuration.

07 DATA DELETION

Discord server owners or authorized administrators may request deletion of PatchSignal data associated with their server.

Users may also request deletion of personal information associated with their Discord account where applicable.

Deletion requests can be submitted through the contact method provided on the official Black Latch Studios website.

We may need sufficient information to verify the identity or authority of a requester before deleting data.

08 SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect PatchSignal data.

No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

09 CHILDREN

PatchSignal is intended for use consistent with Discord’s age requirements and is not designed to knowingly collect information from children in violation of applicable law.

10 SALE OF PERSONAL DATA

Black Latch Studios LLC does not sell personal information collected through PatchSignal.

11 SERVER ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Discord server administrators control which channels are configured for PatchSignal monitoring.

Administrators are responsible for using PatchSignal appropriately within their communities and for providing any notices or obtaining any permissions required by applicable law or platform rules.

12 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy as PatchSignal changes.

The “Last Updated” date will reflect the latest revision.
